I've looked around the internet a lot and haven't found anything to help me (whenever I search about brushes it's always about making custom brushes) and checked the FAQ and again couldn't find anything (unless I missed it, which is possible) I tried going into program files to brushes and copy and pasting but so far I haven't been able to do it correctly (I'm not much of a tech genius). If Krita crashes before you had saved your file, then the next time you start.

A hidden autosave file will be named like. In Krita 4.2 and up, you can configure Krita to make the AutoSave files visible by default. I really liked a lot of the old brushes and I can't seem to find any of them on this newer version, nor find a way to transfer them If you’re using Windows, the AutoSave file will be a file in your user’s TEMP folder. and you may even be able to add that Krita appimage as an external application to launch through Steam.
#Reddit krita unable to update to 4.2 how to
anyone stumble into a similar issue and maybe know how to fix/get around.
The one thing that's been stopping me from updating to 4.2 is that I can't find a way to transfer the brushes from the version I've been using (3.30 I believe? I tried updating today to try to transfer them and so it's currently uninstalled) to the newest update. Krita 4.2.7 Released & Youtube & Linux Update. I updated Krita today (exiting new stuff to explore) but now for some reason OBS is no longer able to record it as a window (it works if I capture the entire display) it recognizes other windows, and recognized krita before I updated.
